As I was making these, I was thinking about those embroidered love tokens sent back by soldiers from France in the First World War. These have nothing like that exquisite embroidery, sorry. But they are nicely pouffy to hold and could go on your shelf or mantelpiece. IF THERE'S SPACE WITH ALL YOUR OTHER VALENTINES. Some of the lace is very old and I used silk in muted colours on the back to say Hey, you are precious!
They are part of Aunt Peaches' Valentine Swap - I'm a huge fan of her clever fabulousness and her glamorous, often BIG AND FLORAL makes, so am beyond thrilled to be taking part. www.auntpeaches.com/
These are going to Tennessee and New York - hey, Kimberley and Atticus! And to Laura in Twickenham - Hallooooo, Laura! Gonna walk to the Post Office this afternoon in the (really?! you're kidding me) sunshine.
